The Setup Menu
Welcome Screen
You can configure the welcome screen that is displayed when you turn on the camera.

Option Description
None (default setting)
The camera enters shooting or playback mode without displaying
the welcome screen.
COOLPIX
The camera displays a welcome screen and enters shooting or
playback mode.
Select an image
Displays an image selected for the welcome screen. When the image
selection screen is displayed, select an image (E57) and then press
the k button.
• As the selected image is saved by the camera, it is displayed when
the camera is turned on even if the original image is deleted.
• Images captured at an Image mode (E39) setting of
g 4608×2592, images captured using Easy panorama (A 42)
or 3D photography (A 44), and images created by using small
picture (E24) or crop (E25) that are 320 × 240 or smaller,
cannot be selected.
